MEDITATION CLASS AT ISLAND HOSPITAL "Meditation for Everyday Living"
Meditation has been clinically proven to reduce stress, blood pressure, anxiety and help with restful sleep. This gentle, three-session class includes guided exercises, attending to what’s immediately present in our experience and an invitation to being rather than doing. LUMINOUS AWARENESS The next "Luminous Awareness" meeting in Anacortes will be on Tuesday, March 20. We will try a new format, where we'll meet from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The first half-hour will be silent meditation, followed by our usual Luminous Awareness unpredictibility! Feel free to come to either or both, the silent half-hour and the Luminous way. Based on the nondual/spiritual approach of Peter Fenner's Radiant Mind, these gatherings are open to anyone enlivened by the opportunity to rest in pure awareness. Call (360) 333-9533 for details. FIRST THURSDAY MEDITATION We meet at the home of Louise Riersen, at 2019 J Avenue, near Anacortes High School from 6:30 till about 7:30 pm. The next one will be April 5, 2018. I will be out-of-town for this gathering, and Bob Hodgman will be sounding the bells. There's no need to pre-register and no cost, though donations are gratefully accepted. It's a wonderful way of coming together to share silence with people from different paths of meditation.
